SPINX Annual Charity Golf Classic

Each year, Spinx hosts a charity golf tournament to raise awareness and funds for local charities. 2010 will mark the 10th year for the Spinx Charity Classic Golf Tournament. The tournament is scheduled for Monday, April 26th and features three courses:

Chanticleer
Chanticleer is one of the Greenville Country Club's two 18-hole championship courses. The 6,688-yard par 72 layout features rolling fairways, towering hardwoods and pines, pure white sand, gently flowing creeks, and challenging greens. Golf Digest has rated it as one of the Top 100 Courses annually since 1979.

Riverside
Greenville Country Club's other 18-hole championship course is Riverside which was designed in 1923. The course weaves along the Reedy River and adjoins to the elegant, Southern-charm 30,000-square foot clubhouse.

Cherokee Valley
Cherokee Valley is an 18-hole, 6,586-yard par 72 championship course that features Champion Bermuda greens. A gorgeous waterfall on the signature hole and Blue Ridge Mountain views provide a dramatic backdrop.

The 2010 Spinx Charity Classic's goal is to raise $140,000 which will be distributed through the Spinks Family Charity Foundation to The American Red Cross Upstate Chapter, Hands on Greenville, Loaves & Fishes, Junior Achievement, The Ronald McDonald House and Pendleton's Place Children's Shelter.
