The SPINX Company takes our responsibility to the Communities we serve in selling Age Sensitive Products only to those legally permitted to purchase them very seriously.

These products include but are not limited to alcohol, tobacco, and lottery tickets. SPINX invests time and assets in training associates to understand the related laws, proper ID procedures and state-of-the-art technologies to aid them in confirming acceptable ID is presented.

Elements of this training and technology include, but are not limited to: pre-screening applicant test, orientation with video, roll-playing practice age sensitive transactions and quiz, in-store training and reminders, scheduled refresher training via computer based program at store, mystery shop for age sensitive sales compliance, and an ID scanning device that only computes customer's age to determine they are old enough to purchase the item.

SPINX thanks our customers for their willingness to help us in our efforts to prevent age sensitive items from getting into the hands of our youth. We have a strict ID process that requires our customers to provide their ID every time you purchase Age Sensitive Products, regardless of age appearance or frequency of visits.

Credit Card Customers: at Spinx we care about protecting your identity so we reserve the right to ask for ID with any credit transaction.  Identification is required for all credit transactions over $100.  There is a limit on all non-fuel credit transactions.

  NOTICE REGARDING EPHEDRINE PRODUCTS

SPINX acknowledges the challenge law enforcement has concerning the growing problems associated with ephedrine products used to create illegal drugs (various forms of the "street drug" Meth). Products containing ephedrine range from legal energy pills to over-the-counter sinus medications.

The Combat Meth Act was passed to aid law enforcement with this challenge and is designed to track and limit the purchasing of products containing ephedrine. SPINX supports these efforts. Upon reviewing the retail requirements of the act, and the profits generated from selling these products, SPINX made the business decision to offer alternatives to ephedrine products and remove ephedrine products from our locations. In accordance with the Act, SPINX does continue to sell single dose packs of some ephedrine products.
