The Spinx Co. has officially announced Steve Spinks, current president, will also assume the role of chief executive officer. The role was previously held by Stewart Spinks, founder of the company, who will now move to the position of chairman of the board. As CEO, Steve Spinks assumes more of the day-to-day operational decisions while Stewart Spinks will concentrate on the strategic and long-term planning for the company as chairman.

Entrepreneurs who hit home runs — the ones who start with a dream and spin it into gold — universally attribute their success to hard work, a competitive spirit and an eye for opportunities and what the market wants.
But Stewart Spinks, one of Greenville’s most successful entrepreneurs, says it’s all that and luck — lots of luck.

The Spinx Co. plans to celebrate their 40th Anniversary with events throughout the year that are centered around their customers.
The Spinx Co. recently opened its newest state-of-the-art convenience store in Anderson, S.C. Located at 1207 Highway 28 Bypass, the 5,100-square-foot store features full foodservice from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily, according to the company.

The Spinx Company has announced American Red Cross Greenville Chapter, Habitat for Humanity of Greenville County, Julie Valentine Center, Junior Achievement Upstate, Loaves & Fishes and the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Carolinas as the beneficiaries of their 2012 Spinx Charity Classic presented by Corporate Benefits.
